Please let me know if this is possible and the best method(s). In summary, I want to still use the fingerprint reader with Windows Hello on our domain, we are fine with having a PIN to set up the Fingerprint, add another fingerprint, or remove the fingerprint, but we would like to remove the PIN from the sign-in optionsĪnd just have the Domain/AD password or Fingerprint reader as options to login. I've opened GPO to Computer Configuration->Administrative Templates->System->Logon - and disabled "Turn on convenience PIN sign-in - this made no difference

I've also set [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\System\AllowDomainPINLogon dword to "0" still no difference I've seen a few similar options such as these settings: "value" =dword:00000000 - this is already on our machines and not making a difference, PIN sign-in I've found no where that I can change a registry key, or gpo to get this done. They'd prefer we just used the AD password or fingerprint, so they are asking me to disable the PIN sign-in option.

Everything works great, however our security team isn't too thrilled about the use of the PIN to sign-in to the computer. Now have the option to sign in with either their domain AD username and password after locking the machine, or Fingerprint, or PIN. I've set up the Fingerprint on test machines and had users set up PIN's. All domain-joined systems, username and password connected to Active Directory.
